Why would you want to celebrate something that causes many people pain and misery? Yes! Valentine Day is just another day set out to cause many people pain and misery and you are there planning to celebrate it?
Valentine Day marked the end of joy and happiness for me and it will remain like that until the day I die.
Before that day, I was a happily married man with a child. My relationship and eventual marriage to my wife, Ore, had been the best thing to happen to me and as at that time, before Valentine Day 2021, I had thought and considered myself the most fortunate and blessed man in the world.
By 2021, I had been married for three years and our little girl, Michelle, was 2 years of age.
My business as a realtor was doing well and we lived in my own house in Lekki. Life was blissful.
My wife, Ore, worked with a top school on the Island as one of their administrator and that also brought in a very healthy income to the family.
Ore was the epitome of what a good wife should be.
To be sincere, thinking about it now, I remember asking myself why she considered to marry me at the time she did. I wouldn’t have married me if I was her!

Ore is a beauty in all aspects. Forget all these ugly girls that go for beauty pageants and come out as winners. Ore would have dusted all of them and put them inside the gutters if she had so much as visited the venues of the events.
She had long legs, was slim and had the right size of br3@$ts and bvtt0ct$ for her body. Everything was perfect.

Guys, I am not the most handsome amongst men.
Scratch that; I am not even close to fine not to talk of handsome. It has been like that ever since I was born.
I am the first son of my parents five kids and happen to also be the ugliest. I am so ugly that people get shocked and surprise when they meet my parents and siblings who are much more finer than I am.
Some people who don’t know our family would react negatively when they see me in our family pictures as they sometimes wonder whether I am the house servant of the family.
So I had gotten used to being seen and regarded as the ugliest member of our family.
So when Ore had accepted my proposal to date me, I was surprised. My family was surprised. My friends were shocked and some even had a bet that she would not stay with me more than a week.
Others said she was just with me for my money but the fact was that Ore had her own money as well as she came from a wealthy home.
I should have asked serious questions when Ore accepted my proposal to marry me after we dated for two years!
I remember my father had called me for a meeting after I had told the family that Ore had accepted to marry me and we had to start making arrangements for our wedding ceremonies. He had asked me to really find out why Ore wanted to marry me because she could have a million other men asides from me.
So I had asked Ore and she had told me with a smile that she would marry only me because she loved me.
