And that was it. I was prepared to make her the happiest woman on earth for her love for me.
I should have known there were other reasons Ore wanted to marry me. But I was too blinded by her love for me and the fact that I had gotten married to a beautiful woman that I didn’t reason very well.
Anyway, we celebrated our third wedding anniversary in January 2021, I had this strong desire to do something extra for my wife and felt that Valentine Day 2021 would be the best time to show her this massive appreciation I had in mind.
Before this period, we had never taken Valentine Day serious.
Most times, Ore had to go to work being a school administrator and schools don’t consider Valentine worthy of taking a break for. Other times, I would be too busy working to even remember anything like Valentine Day.
But on this particular one, I needed to do something special for my wife and the woman I loved.
When I broached the idea to my wife, she was excited. I will never forget what she said to me that night.
It was February 1st and we were both lying inside our bed and discussing about having a truly romantic Valentine Day for us come February 14, 2021.
Ore had faced me with happiness in her eyes. “I am glad you mentioned this, baby. I have a surprise of my own for you this Valentine’s day”.
I smiled at her. “Really”?
“Yes, baby. There is something I had wanted to let you know for a long time now. This Valentine’s Day would be the best time for me to share the good news with you”.
I had stared at her with a shocked expression. “Ore, are you pregnant”?
She had laughed. “I am not pregnant. We agreed Michelle would be at least three years before we go into having another baby, right? So don’t worry. I am taking care of myself. Okay”?
I had smiled with relief. “Okay o. You keep your own surprise and I will keep mine until Valentine Day”
We had k!$$ed and made passionate love that night.
From that night on, I couldn’t wait for Valentine Day to arrive and when it finally did, I was the most excited man in the world.
I had arranged a special dinner with Ore. I had also bought a new car I wanted to present to her. Everything was going to be special that night.
So I stayed back at home while she went to work that day, waiting patiently for her to return from work so we could start off our day and night of romance and fun.
By 5pm, Ore arrived home and was all excited as she got into the bathroom and had her bath. I was dressed and ready, waiting downstairs for her to finish up and come to join me so we could leave for dinner.
Michelle had been taken off our hands by my mother.
After about forty five minutes of spending time in the bedroom getting ready, my doorbell rang and I got to open the door and my kid brother, Philip, walked in….
