The All Progressives Congress (APC) has expressed confidence that Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke can be removed from office through Saturday’s governorship election.
The party said it believes the governor’s record in government has left him vulnerable at the polls and that its candidate has enough support to challenge him.
APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, made the position known on Wednesday while appearing on Arise Television’s Prime Time.

Morka said the party had seen strong backing for its candidate in different parts of Osun State. He added that the winner would ultimately be determined by the result announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
He was also critical of Adeleke’s administration, especially its handling of education and healthcare.
“Governor Adeleke is utterly defeatable. His record has been very lacklustre. He has been very dismal in his performance as governor.
“The health and education sectors are in shambles. He is very detestable because he hasn’t done well.”
According to Morka, Adeleke’s record would play an important role as residents decide who should lead the state for another four years.
The APC spokesman also said he trusted INEC to carry out its responsibilities according to the law. He urged residents to ignore concerns about the election and exercise their right to vote.
“INEC is determined to do its job as appointed by the law, and the people of Osun State, I believe, irrespective of the reports of violence, will go out there and make their choice because that is their state,” he said.
Morka called on voters to come out in large numbers and use their ballots to decide the next governor of Osun State.
The APC is hoping to defeat Adeleke, who is seeking another term in office under the platform of the Accord Party.
