Mr. Obasi, the former husband of Nollywood actress Judy Austin, has made further claims about their past relationship, alleging that he played a significant role in supporting her education and personal development before she became successful.

Speaking in a recent interview on the Honest Bunch podcast, Mr. Obasi stated that he met Judy Austin when they were younger and chose to build a future with her despite her family’s financial struggles at the time.

According to him, he purchased her first mobile phone and assisted with several educational expenses, including fees for WAEC, NECO, and JAMB examinations.

He opened up on this amid ongoing public exchange involving Mr. Obasi, Judy Austin, and actor Yul Edochie. Mr. Obasi has repeatedly shared details of his former marriage, alleging that he made numerous sacrifices to support Judy before their relationship ended.

He said …

“I chose Judy Austin when I was 27 years old. She was a fine girl from but that time their pocket no fine. Based on family background, they were wretched. The very first phone that she used, I was the one who bought it for her. During that time, she told me that the most problem she was facing was WAEC and NECO. I paid for her WAEC, NECO and JAMB…”

Recall that Judy Austin has previously denied allegations that she was involved with Yul Edochie while still married to Mr. Obasi, maintaining that she met the actor years after her first marriage had ended. The differing accounts remain disputed by the parties involved and have not been independently verified.
