My experience in life has taught me never to discard any story about human and human existence because any and everything can happen in this dark world we live in.
My story is an example of strange things happening around us every day. Not to aliens but to humans like you and me; your neighbors, your friends, your colleagues at work and even your course and class mates. Very ordinary people.
For the purpose of this story, I will call her Mrs. X, please.
I met Mrs. X in very strange circumstances.
On that particular day, I had gone to the bank where I worked and after the close of work on that day, I was served a sack letter by my manager. I couldn’t believe my eyes and everything around me.
I was one of the best staff in my branch of the bank and had received several letters of commendation for being the most hardworking staff of the bank. So you can imagine my shock when I was handed the sack letter which did not state anything serious reasons for my being sacked.
I remember walking down the road towards the bus stop where I always joined a bus home and just before I got into the bus, I realized my wallet had been stolen. All the cash I had on me gone!
I felt like crying on that day! I even started thinking whether my village people were having their hands in my affairs. Because I did not understand why things would be like this for me in one day.
While I was standing at the bus stop and still wondering what to do, a lady touched me from behind and I turned to behold the most beautiful woman God ever created facing me with the most lovely smile on a human’s face. Till now, I haven’t forgotten the way my stomach churned at the sight of this woman who I call Mrs. X.
Mrs. X is a beauty! You know the type of beauty Nollywood film makers like to use for mammy water roles? If you do, multiply their beauty by ten and you might just get close enough to the level of beauty Mrs. X possesses.
Anyway, when she opened her mouth and spoke to me, I fell hopelessly in love.
“Good evening, sir. I have noticed you standing here for some time with a worried look on your face. What seems to be the problem?”
Those were the first words Mrs. X had spoken to me and I got hooked to her since then till today.
According to her, she had been watching me from across her supermarket opposite the bus stop and just knew something was wrong. I just told her I had lost my wallet and didn’t have money on me to pay for my transport back home. Mrs. X had just smiled and told me not to worry anymore.
She had taken me to the supermarket and asked me to take anything I wanted to relax. I took cake and a soft drink and when I was done, she offered to drive me home in her jeep.
With confusion in my mind, I accepted her offer and she drove me straight to my compound at Apapa. I still laugh at the look of shock on my neighbors’ faces when they saw me arrive in this solid and clean Range Rover Sport.
Well, that was it. I and Mrs. X started dating not too long after this day as she confessed to me she had fallen in love with me by just staring at me at the bus stop where I stood!
Me? I was happy. For the first time in my life, I was going to enjoy dating a fine, rich babe.
Within a few months, Mrs. X changed my life.
She moved me out of my dinghy flat in Apapa and into her palatial mansion in VGC. She told me to forget about ever working for someone again as she introduced me to importation of exotic cars and with her connection, within a few months, I became a big boy.
The only thing that I would call strange in my relationship with Mrs. X during our first six months was the fact that Mrs. X never allowed me make love to her except it was 12:30am.
Not any other time but 12:30am.
hmmmmm
