Isa Gusau, the Special Assistant on Media and Strategy to Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno State is dead.

Sources close to the deceased Media Strategist said he passed on late Thursday evening in London, where he had been undergoing treatment for an unknown ailment.

Gusau’s career as a media aide began with his appointment by the then Governor of Borno State, Senator Kashim Shettima, who is now Nigeria’s Vice President.

He was after the tenure of Governor Shettima re-appointed by the incumbent Governor Babagana Umara Zulum in 2019, a position he held until his demise on Thursday.

The late media strategist was a hardworking fellow who ensured that governance and image of his principal were properly and greatly projected to the general public.

He was a former reporter with the Daily Trust Newspaper in Borno State before his appointment as media aide by former Governor Shettima.
