• There was an exchange of bread and wine and tithes. The king of Salem blessed Abraham, that blessing is still upon Israel till now.

• ATHALIAH, THE DAUGHTER OF JEZEBEL (NEGATIVE PATTERN)
• 2 Kings 9:30 – 37

v.30 “Now when Jehu had come to Jezreel, Jezebel heard of it; and she put paint on her eyes and adorned her head, and looked through a window.”

v.31 “Then, as Jehu entered at the gate, she said, “Is it peace, Zimri, murderer of your master?”

v.32 “And he looked up at the window, and said, “Who is on my side? Who?” So two or three eunuchs looked out at him.”

v.33 “Then he said, “Throw her down.” So they threw her down, and some of her blood spattered on the wall and on the horses; and he trampled her underfoot”

v.1 “When Athaliah the mother of Ahaziah saw that her son was dead, she arose and destroyed all the royal heirs.”

v.2 “But Jehosheba, the daughter of King Joram, sister of Ahaziah, took Joash the son of Ahaziah, and stole him away from among the king’s sons who were being murdered; and they hid him and his nurse in the bedroom, from Athaliah, so that he was not killed.”

v.3 “So he was hidden with her in the house of the Lord for six years, while Athaliah reigned over the land.”

• Athaliah followed the evil pattern of her mother Jezebel.
• She continued her evil family practice of wickedness.
• She ruthlessly eliminated all her rivals.
• Every Athaliah in your family behind negative patterns shall be destroyed in Jesus name.

• PATTERN OF LIKE MOTHER, LIKE DAUGHTER (NEGATIVE PATTERN)
• Ezek. 16:44

“Indeed everyone who quotes proverbs will use this proverb against you: ‘Like mother, like daughter!”

• TWELVE TERRIBLE CONSEQUENCES OF NEGATIVE PATTERNS

1. IT MAKES ONE’S VOICE NOT TO BE HEARD

Ezek. 19:9

“They put him in a cage with chains, And brought him to the king of Babylon; They brought him in nets, That his voice should no longer be heard on the mountains of Israel.”

• IT SILENCES ONE’S GLORY

Psalm 30:12

“To the end that my glory may sing praise to You and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks to You forever.”

• IT WILL NOT ALLOW ONE TO GO FAR IN THE JOURNEY OF DESTINY

Exod. 8:28

“So Pharaoh said, “I will let you go, that you may sacrifice to the Lord your God in the wilderness; only you shall not go very far away. Intercede for me.”

• IT MAKES THE WHOLE FAMILY SUFFER UNIFORMLY

Lam. 3:7

“He has hedged me in so that I cannot get out; He has made my chain heavy.”

• IT SPONSORS THE WICKEDNESS OF THE WICKED CONTINUALLY

Psalm 7:9

“Oh, let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end, But establish the just; For the righteous God tests the hearts and minds.”

• IT MAKES ONE’S WORK TO SUFFER DAMAGES

Dan. 6:1& 2

v.1 “It pleased Darius to set over the kingdom one hundred and twenty satraps, to be over the whole kingdom”

v.2 “and over these, three governors, of whom Daniel was one, that the satraps might give account to them, so that the king would suffer no loss.”

• IT DOES NOT ALLOW ONE TO MANIFEST GLORY

John 2:11

“This beginning of signs Jesus did in Cana of Galilee, and manifested His glory; and His disciples believed in Him.”

• IT MAKES ONE TO LABOUR IN VAIN

Isa. 65:23

“They shall not labor in vain, Nor bring forth children for trouble; For they shall be the descendants of the blessed of the Lord, And their offspring with them.

• IT MAKES ONE TO SUFFER FROM TRANSFERRED PARENTAL PUNISHMENT

Jer. 32:18

GNB – “You have shown constant love to thousands, but you also punish people for the sins of their parents. You are a great and powerful God; you are the Lord Almighty.”

NiRV – “You show your love to thousands of people. But you cause the sins of parents to affect even their children. Great and powerful God, your name is the Lord Who Rules Over All.”

1. IT MAKES ONE TO SUFFER SHAME, REPROACH AND DISHONOUR

Psalm 69:19 – 20

v.19 “You know how they make fun of me. They dishonor me and put me to shame. You know all about my enemies.”

v.20 “They have broken my heart by saying evil things about me. It has left me helpless. I looked for pity, but I didn’t find any. I looked for someone to comfort me, but I didn’t find anyone.”

1. IT DOES NOT ALLOW ONE TO BE THE HEAD

Deut. 28:13

“And the Lord will make you the head and not the tail; you shall be above only, and not be beneath, if you heed the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you today, and are careful to observe them.”

1. IT DOES NOT ALLOW ONE’S HEAD TO BE LIFTED UP UNLESS GOD INTERVENES

Psalm 3:3

“But You, O Lord, are a shield for me, My glory and the One who lifts up my head.

• A VIVID BIBLICAL EXAMPLE OF A WICKED CIRCLE OF OPPRESSION  

• Matthew 22 v 23 – 28

v.23 “The same day the Sadducees, who say there is no resurrection, came to Him and asked Him”

v.24 saying: “Teacher, Moses said that if a man dies, having no children, his brother shall marry his wife and raise up offspring for his brother.”

 v.25  “Now there were with us seven brothers. The first died after he had married, and having no offspring, left his wife to his brother.”

v. 26  “Likewise the second also, and the third, even to the seventh.”

 v.27 “Last of all the woman died also.”

v.28 “Therefore, in the resurrection, whose wife of the seven will she be? For they all had her.”

• A man died, having no children.
• His remaining brothers in turn married the wife left behind and they all died one after the other.
• The woman also died.
• This is a classical example of a wicked circle.
• Any wicked circle surrounding your life shall be broken in Jesus name.
• Any wicked circle operating in your family shall be broken in Jesus name.
• Any wicked circle of events, around you now shall be broken in Jesus name.

SCRIPTURES TO BREAK NEGATIVE PATTERNS

• Ezek. 18:2 – 3

v.2 “What do you mean when you use this proverb concerning the land of Israel, saying”

v.3 “The fathers have eaten sour grapes, And the children’s teeth are set on edge’?”

3 “As I live,” says the Lord God, “you shall no longer use this proverb in Israel.

• Gal. 3:13

“Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”)”

• Col. 2:14 & 15

v.14 “having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross.”

v.15 “Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.”

54 NEGATIVE PATTERNS TO BE DEALT WITH IN FAMILIES

1. Acute and Acidic continuous POVERTY running in your family.  From generation to generation, no one had done well; you are all uniformly poor and wretched.  Let this negative pattern be broken in Jesus name.

• In your family, when a big breakthrough is to be signed and concluded, family bondage will abort it and it will fail.  There has been wicked decision in the spirit realm that your family must be poor compulsorily.  Let this decision be neutralised in Jesus name.

• It is a double tragedy if a man from this kind of family married a wife whose family has also been cursed not to prosper.  Let this double tragedy be cancelled in Jesus name.

• In your family, good things collapse as soon as they are about to happen.
• Projects never get started; if they do, they are never finished.
• A certain kind of sickness is killing people in your family.
• Your family members die at a particular age.
• In your family, someone must go to jail, home or abroad in every generation.
• In your family everyone is a servant.
• In your family, all the men are poor no matter how much they try.
• In your family, all the women take care of feeding the husbands and children (ROLE REVERSAL)
• In your family any man who marries there must die, or become poor or any woman who marries must die or be oppressed terribly.
• There are families where all the men are satanically programmed to marry witches or the ladies to marry wizards.
• In some families, everyone is a drunk.  Spirit of Bacchus is ruling them no matter how highly educated they may be.
• In some families, inherited polygamy is running like a river.
• In some families, having concubines and engaging serious adultery is their disease, even those who are pastors.
• In some families, vagabond anointing is their disease.  They can’t keep jobs.  They move from one job to another.  They always sack them.
• In some families, once they want to build houses in the home towns/villages or elsewhere, their means of livelihood will have problems.
• There are families that their eldest children don’t do well at all.
• In some families, parents die when it is time to enjoy the fruits of their labour on their children.
• In some families, they turn the backs of the children against their parents.
• In some families, there is an unexplainable fight to finish SIBLING RIVALRY.
• There are some families that everyone is a liar, a thief or an armed robber.
• In some families, they suffer from inherited diseases like hypertension, diabetes, skin diseases, boil, demonic migraine, epilepsy, adult convulsion, etc.
• In some families, it is madness, insanity, mind problems.
• In some families, it is argumentative spirit with terrible anger.
• In some families, it is financial failure and lack of helpers.
• In some families when they build, they don’t allow them to live inside, when they labour, another person takes the glory/harvest.
• In some families, no matter how highly placed a person may be, he must suddenly come down and be wretched, losing all he has laboured for.
• In some families, the children will be suffering what the parents suffered at the exact age bracket; terrible parental events will be catching up with them.
• In some families, it could be generational curse like the case of Gehazi.
• In some families, it may be due to evil dedication, evil donation, evil collateral  –  Your mother making a vow/covenant with an idol before you were born.
• In some families, a collective strongman has been planted to destroy everybody.  If he dies, he hands over the case file to another person.
• In some families, none of the males or females are martially settled.
• In some families, no one enjoys his or her marriage.
• In some families, whoever marries will only have one issue, no more.
• In some families, any female who marries will be sent back to the family house or the marriage breaks at a particular number of weeks, months or years.
• In some families, when all females are married, their husbands must be poor or die or sorrow vice-versa.
• In some families, parents still support children married or unmarried because of hardship.
• In some families, they are uniformly poor, or have same kind of attack, die through accident or a peculiar ailment at a particular range of age
• In some families, common traits are noticed, like, complacency, anger, abnormal sexual life, stealing etc.  
• In some families, all firstborns/last borns must not make it.
• In some families, they are doing same type of business over the years with or without success.
• In some families, all have tried to make progress overseas, none has ever succeeded once.
• In some families, when projects are started, no one has ever finished it.
• In some families, when projects are completed, they die or paralysed.
• In some families, people only make it when they are above 70years.
• In some families, people labour so hard, have good jobs both locally and international without anything to show for it.
• In some families, they all commit incest, immorality of sleeping with house maids or houseboys.
• In some families, they are always wealthy but live poor and die without leaving nothing behind.
• In some families, they are afflicted uniformly with HATRED and LACK OF HELPERS
• In some families, they are well read but no employment.
• In some families, they are affected uniformly with spirit of EMPTIERS.
• In some families, everyone has sorrowful wealth.

• WAYS OUT

1. Accept Jesus if you have not.
2. List out ancestral sins of your family.
3. Confess and ask God for repentance on behalf of your family.
4. Break evil covenants.
5. Reclaim your lost ground through aggressive prayers.
6. Ask God to turn all the curses into blessings.
7. Rebuke all generational spirits.
8. Make new family covenant with the Lord.
