The Senior Pastor of the Christ Livingspring Apostolic Ministry (CLAM), Pasto Wole Oladiyun, has urged Nigerian youths to position themselves to take advantage of the immense opportunities that age, strength, time, and technology confer on them
Speaking on Wednesday at the Prayer Forum organised by Caleb University, Imota, Lagos, Pastor Oladiyun told the large gathering of students: “God is on your side, time is on your side, age is on your side, you have the strength, and you have the knowledge. You must arise and excel”.
He urged the students to embrace entrepreneurship, in addition to getting good grades in their studies. He advised them to maximise the opportunities surrounding them to make hay while the sun is still shining. Most importantly, Pastor Wole Oladiyun admonished the students to put God first and make Him the bedrock of all their plans.
He added: “You are on earth for a purpose. What I am doing now is my purpose. Discover your GIFTS, TALENTS, AND SKILLS. Anything inside of you is a pointer to what God has called you to do. Your purpose is what you like to do without sweat while others struggle. What God has put inside of you will give you your meal ticket. Don’t waste your time because time wasters are LIFE wasters”.
While reminding them that life is measured in time, Pastor Oladiyun said “early discovery is important; have the future in view in whatever you do now. Old people talk about the past. Young people talk of the future. Have a DREAM of the future”.
Earlier in his welcome remarks, the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Nosa Owens-Ibie, thanked Pastor Oladiyun for accepting the invitation to minister to the students. He explained that the Prayer Forum was organised in line with the vision of the institution to imbibe in the students Godly values.
