“You Can’t Call Me Mo Anyhow, I Won’t Take it” – Mo Abudu Warns

“To be forewarned is to be forearmed.” This is a warning to whoever it may concern, as media mogul and EbonyLife boss, Mo Abudu, has issued a strong warning to younger people against disrespecting her.

According to the media guru, people cannot call her “Mo” anyhow, insisting that she would not take it from anybody. She explained that she is a traditional person and that her upbringing by her grandmother in Ondo shaped her views about respect and how younger people should address their elders.

She stated this during a recent interview with media personality, Toke Makinwa. This came after Toke asked if she was particular about people calling her “Aunty.”

She responded: “I am very traditional. I was brought up in Ondo by my grandmother. You can’t be calling me by my first name anyhow. I won’t take it!”

Also, reacting to claims by some people who described her as a “shark” in business, Mo said: “If I was a man, they wouldn’t say I was a shark. They’re going to say she’s an astute businesswoman. Some people play the victim despite knowing they failed to do what is expected of them.”

Speaking on relationships, Mo, 61, said: “Nobody can break my heart. Heartbreak is no longer something I worry about at my age.”

“I would rather date someone of my age or older. For me to respect my partner, he must have achieved something.”
