Reality TV star Tega Dominic has shared her experience after participating in Big Brother, cautioning others about the mental toll associated with the show.
Speaking on her post-show life, Tega revealed that she struggled with anxiety after leaving the reality TV house, noting that the experience affected her ability to comfortably navigate social environments.

She explained that while she can initiate gestures like hugs, receiving the same level of physical closeness has been difficult for her, highlighting the emotional impact of the experience.

Tega advised that individuals considering participation in Big Brother should ensure they are mentally prepared, as the pressures that come with the platform can be overwhelming.
She said in part…
“I won’t tell anybody close to me to go for Big Brother. If you’re not mentally strong, don’t go for Big Brother. After big brother I used to have anxiety. It became worse. I had social anxiety, I can’t go to spaces if I’m alone. I can give you hugs, but I can’t receive hugs.”
