The Right Reverend Abel Oluyemi Ajibodu, Ph. D., Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of Ile-Oluji, has said Nigeria is what it is today because Nigerians continue to discountenance the Holy Scriptures and refusing to obey God’s commandments.

In his sermon at the Adedapo Adekeye Memorial Anglican Church, Fagbola Estate, Temidire, Ile-Oluji yesterday, Bishop Ajibodu emphasised that nations and individuals who fail to obey God are waging wars against themselves because they have  turned their backs on God.

He pointed out that God wants every Nigerian to bring about positive change in the country by returning to Him and obeying his commandments, particularly those requiring us to love Him unquestioningly and to love our fellow human beings as ourselves.

Tagging most Nigerians as corrupt, Bishop Ajibodu called everyone to fear God and be honest and fair  in all dealings.

He charged civil and public servants to retire or otherwise quit when they should and stop blocking the promotion and employment chances of others, especially our youths.

Adedapo Adekeye Memorial Anglican Church is the Archdeacon’s  Seat of the Central Archdeaconry of the Anglican Diocese of Ile-Oluji.
