The President of the Igbo Organization New York, Sir Ifeanyi Ajomiwu Nwakanma, was reportedly arrested by police after an argument at the Obi-Igbo Community Centre in New York.
Videos shared online show Nwakanma in handcuffs as NYPD officers took him away.
The disagreement was reportedly about who should have access to the community centre and how the property was being managed. The argument involved Nwakanma, the Vice President of the organization, Vero Aneke, and another woman.

The argument became heated, and police were called to the scene. Nwakanma was later arrested.
It is not yet clear exactly what led to his arrest, whether he has been charged with any offence, or if anyone else involved was arrested or questioned.
More details are expected as further information becomes available.
