EXHORTATION

1. GOD IS THE AUTHOR OF GOOD REPORTS
   • Proverbs 15 v 29 & 30
   v. 29 “The LORD is far from the wicked: but he heareth the prayer of
   the righteous.”
   v.30 “The light of the eyes rejoiceth the heart: and a good report maketh
   the bones fat.”
   • James 1 v 17
   “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down
   from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of
   turning.”
   • Proverbs 25 v 25
   “As cold waters to a thirsty soul, so is good news from a far country.”
   • God is the author of Good reports
   • Good reports come from Him
   • He desires good reports for you on that matter
   • Good reports facilitate rejoicing and testimonies
   • Psalm 51 v 8
   “Make me to hear joy and gladness; that the bones which thou hast broken
   may rejoice.”
   • May you hear good reports on that matter in Jesus name
2. REJECT EVIL/NEGATIVE REPORTS IN JESUS NAME
   • Psalm 112 v 7
   “He will not be afraid of evil tidings; His heart is steadfast, trusting in the
   Lord.”
   • Luke 2 v 10
   “Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you
   good tidings of great joy which will be to all people.”
   • An evil report is anything contrary to the word of God
   • An evil report is anything contrary to the plan and purpose of God for your life
   • Satan is the author of negative reports.
   • Evil reports are the news of the world selling like wild fire.

• You must cancel evil/negative reports by the blood of Jesus.

3. HANDOVER THE NEGATIVE REPORTS TO GOD
   • Psalm 55 v 22
   “Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never
   suffer the righteous to be moved.”
   • As a believer, if you receive a fearful and unpleasant report, news, text,
   message, medical report, what should you do?
   • Remove it from your hand and hand it over to God
   • Don’t breakdown, don’t weep, don’t be afraid. Such wrong reactions will not
   solve the problem but worsen it.
   • Ezekiel 21 v 27 (KJV)
   “I will overturn, overturn, overturn, it: and it shall be no more, until he
   come whose right it is; and I will give it him.”
   • God will overturn it in your favour in Jesus name.
   • Col. 2 v 14
   “Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was
   contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;”
   • Every evil/negative report at your disposal is hereby cancelled in Jesus name.
4. CHARACTERISTICS OF EVIL/NEGATIVE REPORTS
   • Num. 13 v 32 & 33
   v.32”And they brought up an evil report of the land which they had
   searched unto the children of Israel, saying, The land, through which we
   have gone to search it, is a land that eateth up the inhabitants thereof; and
   all the people that we saw in it are men of a great stature.”
   v.33 “And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the
   giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in
   their sight.”
   • Isaiah 10 v 1
   “Woe unto them that decree unrighteous decrees, and that write
   grievousness which they have prescribed;”
   • Job 13 v 26
   “For thou writest bitter things against me, and makest me to possess the
   iniquities of my youth.”

• Evil reports cause fear and torment
• They are from the pit of Hell
• Negative reports steal your Peace/Joy
• They panic you and make you livid
• They disorganise and disorient you
• Evil reports portray the enemies as gaining upper hands but that’s not true
• Job 20 v 5
“That the triumphing of the wicked is short, and the joy of the hypocrite
but for a moment?”
• Evil reports question and try your faith by making you think that:

1. Why me O! Lord?
2. What have I done to warrant this?
3. Can God deliver me?
4. Is God really there for me?
5. Why am I serving God?
6. Is my faith really working?
7. Must I not seek help elsewhere
8. Is God really watching over me?

   “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and
   of a sound mind.”
   • Romans 8 v 37
   “Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that
   loved us.”
   • Romans 8 v 28
   “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love
   God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”
   • Evil reports can be reminding you of Christians with such cases that had died.
   • Say to yourself “My case is different”.

   “And it shall turn to you for a testimony.”

“And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but
not with God: for with God all things are possible.”
• Psalm 62 v 11
“God hath spoken once; twice have I heard this; that power
belongeth unto God.”
• Phil. 2 v 9 – 11
v.9 “Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a
name which is above every name:”
v.10 “That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in
heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;”
v.11 “And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.”
• God can cancel any negative report
• God can overturn any negative report
• God can neutralise any evil report
• God can paralize any negative report
• God can render useless any negative report
• God can make ineffective any negative report
• God can make impotent any evil report.
• God can make of no effect any negative report
• God can bury any negative report
• God can subdue any negative report
• God can erase completely any negative report
• God can wipe off any negative report
• God can re-write any negative report
• God can make those behind negative reports to bow to your God for help
later (like the case of Jephthah in Judges 11 v 1 – 6)
• That blood of Jesus will wipe off completely that negative report in Jesus
name.

CASES OF NEGATIVE REPORTS GOD REVERSED

CASE 1
• Deut. 9 v 1 – 3 (CHILDREN OF ANAKIMS VERSUS CHILDREN OF
ISRAEL)

GODLY REPORT
• Deut. 9 v 3
“Understand therefore this day, that the Lord thy God is he which
goeth over before thee; as a consuming fire he shall destroy them,
and he shall bring them down before thy face so shalt thou drive
them out, and destroy them quickly, as the Lord hath said unto thee.”
CASE 2
• 2 Kings 6 v 8 – 23 (ELISHA VERSUS HIS SERVANT)
NEGATIVE REPORT
• 2 Kings 6 v 15
“And when the servant of the man of God arose early and went out,
there was an army, surrounding the city with horses and chariots.
And his servant said to him, “Alas, my master! What shall we
do?”Alas! My Master, how shall we do?
GODLY REPORT
• 2 Kings 6 v 16 – 17
“So he answered, “Do not fear, for those who are with us are more
than those who are with them.” 17 And Elisha prayed, and said,
“Lord, I pray, open his eyes that he may see.” Then the Lord opened
the eyes of the young man, and he saw. And behold, the mountain
was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha”.
• What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against
us. (Romans 8 v 31)
CASE 3
• Nehemiah 4 v 1 – 3 (SAMBALLAT & CO. VERSUS THE JEWS)
NEGATIVE REPORT
• Nehemiah 4 v 3 –

“Now Tobiah the Ammonite was beside him, and he said, “Whatever
they build,
if even a fox goes up on it, he will break down their stone wall.”
They were mocking Nehemiah.
GODLY REPLY
• Nehemiah 4 v 15
“And it happened, when our enemies heard that it was known to us,
and that God had brought their plot to nothing, that all of us
returned to the wall, everyone to his work”.
CASE 4
• 2 Chron. 20 v 1 – end (JEHOSHAPHAT V 3 KINGS – AMMON, MOAB
& SEIR)
NEGATIVE REPORT
• 2 Chronicles 20 v 2
“Then there came some that told Jehoshaphat, saying there cometh a great
multitude against thee from beyond the sea on this side Syria; and behold,
they be in Hazazon-tamat, which is Engedi”
GODLY REPORT
• 2 Chronicles 20 v 22 – 24 “And when they began to sing and to praise, the
Lord set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount
Seir, which were come against Judah, and they were smitten. For the
children of Ammon and Moab stood up against the inhabitants of mount
Seir, every one helped to destroy another. And when Judah came toward
the watchtower in the wilderness, they looked unto the multitude, and
behold, they were dead bodies fallen to the earth, and none escaped.”

NEGATIVE REPORT
• 2 Kings 19 v 10 – 13
“Thus you shall speak to Hezekiah king of Judah, saying: ‘Do not let
your God in whom you trust deceive you, saying, “Jerusalem shall
not be given into the hand of the king of Assyria.” 11 Look! You have
heard what the kings of Assyria have done to all lands by utterly
destroying them; and shall you be delivered? 12 Have the gods of the

nations delivered those whom my fathers have destroyed, Gozan and
Haran and Rezeph, and the people of Eden who were in Telassar? 13
Where is the king of Hamath, the king of Arpad, and the king of the
city of Sepharvaim, Hena, and Ivah?’

God won the battle despite the facts that:

1. The King of Assyria had fearful credentials.
2. He had conquered every Nation he fought.
3. He had a terrible fortified and well organized armies.
4. He had a great EVIL confidence.
   These are the harassing evil symptoms of satan and his agents.
   Remember Heb. 12 v 28 “We have a kingdom which cannot be moved.” V. 29 –
   For our God is a consuming fire.
   HEZEKIAH – WHAT DID HE DO
   Daniel 11 v 32 ….but the people that do know their God shall be strong and do

   they had spied out, saying, “The land through which we have gone as spies
   is a land that devours its inhabitants, and all the people whom we saw in it

   v.33 There we saw the giants[d] (the descendants of Anak came from the
   giants); and we were like grasshoppers in our own sight, and so we were in
   their sight.”

KING HEZEKIAH – 2 Kings 20 v 1 – 6
v.1 “In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And the prophet
Isaiah the son of Amoz came to him, and said unto him, Thus saith
the LORD, Set thine house in order; for thou shalt die, and not live.
v.2 “Then he turned his face to the wall, and prayed unto the LORD,

which is good in thy sight. And Hezekiah wept sore.”

v.5 “Turn again, and tell Hezekiah the captain of my people, Thus
saith the LORD, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy
prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will heal thee: on the third
day thou shalt go up unto the house of the LORD.”
v.6 “And I will add unto thy days fifteen years; and I will deliver thee
and this city out of the hand of the king of Assyria; and I will defend
this city for mine own sake, and for my servant David’s sake.”
CASES

1. You want God to reverse negative reports in your life
