Two personnel of the Lagos State Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) were killed by a fleeing driver in the Gbagada axis of the state on Monday, according to reports by AF24NEWS.

According to eyewitness reports, the private vehicle was involved in a high-speed chase by the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) on Gbagada Expressway, opposite Gbagada Phase 2 Estate, when it crashed into the LAWMA cleaners who were performing their duties.

The LASTMA officials immediately fled the scene. The driver, however, was apprehended, as his vehicle crashed into the road divider.

Efforts were ongoing to get the reactions of LASTMA and LAWMA.
