Garnacho and Chelsea working on summer exit

Chelsea have set a £43 million valuation for Alejandro Garnacho and are pushing for a permanent exit this summer.

That’s according to Ben Jacobs, who reports that talks have taken place with Roma, but the Serie A club prefer an initial loan deal. Chelsea remain firm on a full sale.

Garnacho is attracting interest from clubs in England, Italy, and Saudi Arabia. Like Andrey Santos, the Argentine wants guaranteed regular first-team football, something Chelsea cannot promise.

Both the player and the club are working together to secure a move. Garnacho has not yet returned for pre-season training, with hopes of completing an exit within the next two weeks.

Crystal Palace eye fringe Arsenal man

Crystal Palace could move to sign Christian Norgaard this summer if Arsenal buy Bruno Guimaraes.

The Dane, already a fringe member of the squad, will see his already scant minutes decrease further if Newcastle’s Brazilian moves to London.

And reports in the Danish press suggest Crystal Palace might be interested in taking him on, though he could also stay with Arsenal as a reserve.

Junior Kroupi wants to join Tottenham

Eli Junior Kroupi wants to join Tottenham.

That’s according to TEAMtalk, who report that the Bournemouth striker prefers a move to Spurs over Paris Saint-Germain because he wants regular first-team football rather than a squad role behind PSG’s established stars.

As a result, PSG have shifted their focus to Barcelona forward Ferran Torres, with personal terms reportedly agreed and club negotiations progressing.

Tottenham now believe they are in a stronger position to land Kroupi, who is viewed as a priority target by Roberto De Zerbi as the club continues reshaping its attacking options this summer.

Hjulmand set for Atletico move

Talking of hijacks, Chelsea have failed in one.

The Blues have reportedly fallen short in a late attempt to scupper Atletico Madrid’s move for Sporting midfielder Morten Hjulmand.

The Dane has won interest from a variety of clubs this summer, but agreed to join Atletico for around £34m, with the deal due to be completed in short order.

Reports in Spain suggest Chelsea made a last-gasp approach to hijack the move, but fell short as the player,. who has an Arsenal tattoo on his left shoulder, already had his heart set on moving to Madrid.

Jeremy Monga on Man City move

“When I became aware that Manchester City were interested, I knew instantly this was the right choice for me.

“For any young footballer, to become part of this amazing club is a dream come true.

“This has been the best club in England over the past 10 years. And it has also handed opportunities to players from the academy like Phil Foden and Nico O’Reilly which shows that the pathway is there.

“It is a privilege to be here and I’m delighted to have joined.”

Done deal! Man City sign Monga

Manchester City have announced the signing of teenage winger Jeremy Monga from Leicester on a five-year deal.

Monga made his Premier League debut for the Foxes at the age of 15 and has decided to join City despite Arsenal thinking they had wrapped up a deal.

The 17-year-old played 37 times for Leicester and was also the youngest player to start a game for the club.

Monga has joined Enzo Maresca’s side in a deal believed to be £10m with add ons on a contract which will take him through to 2031.

Monga becomes the third English player to join Manchester City this summer following the arrivals of goalkeeper Pierce Charles and record signing Elliot Anderson.

Monga featured for the first time in the top flight as a second-half substitute in Leicester’s 3-0 defeat to Newcastle in April 2025 under Ruud van Nistelrooy and then made his first start in the Carabao Cup against Huddersfield in August 2025.

The England Under 19 international is also the third-youngest player to ever play in the Premier League behind Arsenal pair Ethan Nwaneri and Max Dowman.

Chelsea make bid for Mexico star Quinones

Chelsea have made an offer to sign Mexico striker Julian Quinones following his impressive performances at the 2026 World Cup.

That’s according to Saudi outlet Asharq Al-Awsat, who report that the 29-year-old recently signed a new contract with Al-Qadsiah at the end of last season.

Quinones became the first Saudi Pro League player to score at a World Cup after netting Mexico’s opener against South Africa at the Azteca Stadium.

He also scored against the Czechia, Ecuador and England, after finishing as the Saudi Pro League’s top scorer with 33 goals for Al-Qadsiah last season.

Chelsea set eyes on Camavinga swoop

The final decision may fall to the player, though, and he could be pushed to depart after Aurelien Tchouameni extended his deal.
