The ThisDay Alumni Association has described the DAME Lifetime Achievement Award won by Prince Nduka Obaigbena, the Chairman/CEO of ThisDay/Arise Media Group, as a further confirmation of his immense contributions to the growth and development of journalism and media practice in Nigeria.

The association said this in a letter to Obaigbena on Monday to congratulate him on receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Diamond Awards for Media Excellence (DAME) held in Lagos over the weekend.

The letter signed by Dr Tony Onyima and Juliana Taiwo-Obalonye, president and secretary respectively, observed that Obaigbena’s vision and courage have redefined and repositioned Journalism in the country.
