Luxembourg surpasses the UK in European quality of life ranking according to new research.
The UK has been ranked behind the tiny country of Luxembourg, as the highest quality of life in Europe.
Dailybase analysts evaluated 12 criteria, including unemployment rate, healthcare accessibility, cost of living, and salary, to identify the European countries with the best living conditions.
Luxembourg was ranked fourth, with a notably high average monthly salary of 4,670 Euros, a life expectancy of 82 years, and a perfect literacy rate of 100 per cent.

The United Kingdom meanwhile was ranked fifth, with 57.47 per cent of residents having completed tertiary education and a lower suicide rate than the other top ten countries. The United Kingdom received an overall score of 67.73 out of 100.
The mainly rural country is bordered by Belgium, France, and Germany, and features dense Ardennes forests, nature parks in the north and rocky gorges in the east.

The country’s oldest town, Echternach is famous for its mediaeval architecture and its beautiful ancient abbey.
Ireland is at the top of the rankings, having earned the top spot with a score of 73.72 out of 100.
Notably, its GDP growth rate in 2022 was 11.97 per cent, which was 354 per cent higher than the European average.
Furthermore, Ireland has an astonishingly low divorce rate of only 0.6 per 1,000 people.
