At long last, the agony is over for Siasia, a Samson that has become victorious. With his skinhead, even the Biblical Delilah has no hair to cut from his head. He has endured a ban that lasted for five years, running from16 August 2019 till this day.

The expiration of the ban almost coincided with his 57th birthday which came two days ago. He has everything to rejoice for. An Africa Cup of Nations winner, a World Cup player and scorer, an Olympic medallist in gold and bronze as coach.

In addition, he has a rare record of being a bronze medallist in the FIFA U-20 World Cup as a player in 1985 and a silver medallist as a coach 20 years later at Netherlands in 2005.

He is therefore bestowed with an intimidating coaching profile that he can now build on. Having coached the Super Eagles in the past he could be in a vantage position to return to the job.
