Mr. Wale Akinterinwa, a leading APC governorship aspirant in Ondo State, has expressed dismay over the decision of thge Ondo State Government to halt the projects initiated by the late Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu in his hometown of Owo.

Akinterinwa stated that it was crude and unjust to halt the projects, stressing that they ought to be completed as a way to honour the late governor.

The former Commissioner for Finance disclosed this during a campaign tour of Owo, headquarters of the Owo Local Council Area of the state.

Residents of the community, who received the governorship aspirant in their large numbers, had expressed their dissatisfaction with the abandoned projects in their town, emphasising the need for them to be completed.

Mr Akinterinwa assured the residents that he would prioritize the continuation of the policies initiated by the late Akeredolu, stressing their importance to the state.

“I will continue where Aketi stopped in Owo. Whatever Aketi wanted to do for Owo but couldn’t, we will accomplish it. When a great leader passes away, the only way to honour him is to continue the good work he was doing for his people”.
