A major drama unfolded on Monday during the live telecast of the Anambra Governorship Debate, when the All Progressive Grand Alliance governorship candidate, Chukwuma Soludo, accused the All Progressives Congress flag bearer, Andy Uba, of certificate forgery.

The debate, hosted by Arise Television, and monitored by AF24NEWS, featured the three major gubernatorial candidates of the APGA, APC, and PDP’s Valentine Ozigbo.

Soludo turned the heat on Uba when he was asked about the security situation in Anambra state. Speaking on how insecurity can be tackled, Soludo alluded that violence and kidnapping in the state were started by the Uba family. Reacting, Uba distanced himself from the accusation and promised to end insecurity by engaging with the people.

However, the former governor Central Bank of Nigeria stoked the heat further and accused UBA of forging his secondary school certificate. He said, “You (Uba) were a Senator for eight years but never engaged the people or spoke a word about IPOB (Indigenous People Of Biafra). This is what they all promise to get power, and when they get the power they go into voicemail.

“You, your PDP government, and your brother (Chris Uba) orchestrated the kidnap of a sitting governor. “The violence, kidnappings, and so on and so forth was started by them. Back then, my brother here (Andy Uba), was in the engine room of the PDP, he was stoking up all the fires burning in Anambra. So we know that that’s a fact.”

Turning to Uba, Soludo pointedly asked him, “Do you have a Secondary school certificate? Secondary? Where did you attend secondary school?

Uba replied, “I attended Boys High School in Enugu.”
