The family of Yahaya Abubakar has called on all well-meaning individuals to come to its aid in order to help save their six-month-old son, Sa’ad Abubakar’s life, who needs N9 million to undergo severe heart surgery in India over the next few days, as he battles against time to stay alive.
Abubakar’s only child is battling with ‘Pentalogy of Fallot’, a severe heart condition that requires immediate surgery in India.
The parents’ plea for donations by well-meaning Nigerians comes as every other option has been exhausted, including emptying their savings, selling off personal property, and seeking help from family and friends.

Little Sa’ad was born with a rare form of cyanotic congenital heart disease. Although the condition wasn’t discovered at birth, he became ill two days after delivery.
He has been through a series of evaluations and treatments in the hands of specialists when he was only 13 days old. The long-drawn battle has continued since then culminating in the resolution that surgery is required.
The Pentalogy of Fallot is characterised by an overriding aorta, stenosis of the pulmonary artery, and ventricular septal defect, among others. Little Sa’ad has a very short window within which the surgery can be performed without the presence of severe complications, such as hypercyanotic spells.
According to the parents, N1.95 million has been donated as of December 21, 2023, leaving a balance of N7.05 million.
Donations can be sent to the mother’s UBA account number, 2121610560, with the name Zile Muhammed.
“You can also contact the parents on 07062414795 or 08033012054. Further details and clarity on Baby Sa’ad’s condition can also be obtained from Dr. Cyprian Umeogwaju (08162763258) of the Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital Zaria, or Dr. Boniface Ogbuh (08030786067) of Harmony Hospital,” the family said.
