SHE Global Award Celebrates Adebola Lawal, Others As Lipstick Forces

SHE Global Awards, a notable annual award event, has recognized and rewarded women from different countries across the world who are trailblazers, doing exploits in their respective fields

The award ceremony, which brought women from different spheres of life together, had its 5th edition held in Lagos, Nigeria, recently, with the theme “The Lipstick Force”.

According to the chairwoman of the day, Vice President, International Business Persons and Diplomats Union, Turkey, Nala Ozkan, she expressed, “As Diplomats, we believe in gender equality and women’s rights, we carry out various projects in this regard both in Turkey and internationally”.

Nala noted that the Forum, ‘She Global Awards’ is not just a gathering but a platform to enhance the voices of women in the continents, not only recognizing challenges but pointing out solutions and a platform to share insights, to be inspired and create an equitable future.

She further called out for the support of women, to enhance economic Development and growth in the global space.

The chairman of the day, Managing Director, M&C Global Group, Ghana, Mr Michael Vanderpuye, who was also identified as a He for She at the award ceremony, admonished women to be focused, stating, “whatever you put your mind to, you can achieve it. And instead of fighting against each other, they complement each other. Instead of having competition in business, why not collaborate? And together, we will all win,” he said.

In her welcome speech, the Convener, She Global Awards and Ladies on Business Magazine Global, Adesola Onadipe, noted that the award is channelled at encouraging women to be the best versions of themselves. She explained that it is a movement, a celebration of excellence and a tribute to the power, global passion, and the purpose of women around the world.

“Under the vibrant theme, ‘The Lip Stick Force’, Adesola expressed, “We gather to recognize and honor women who are not only breaking barriers, but also building bridges across industries, cultures, and continents.

Moreover, Adesola noted that this year’s theme is boldly declared in respect to the strength of a woman, which is not silence, it is vibrance, resilience, and revolutionary. According to her, “The Lip Stick Force represents every woman who rises with grace, leads with courage, and lifts others as she can”, enumerating that It is a symbol of unapologetic strength, unwavering confidence, and unstoppable actions.

“Bearing in mind that this award is not just an ordinary award, it is a global award that celebrates the true success of real women with genuine growth. It is an award that is based on the strong personality and performance of individuals who stand a chance to go global upon receiving this prestigious award.

PROFILE OF ADEBOLA LAWAL, ONE OF THE AWARDEES

Adebola Lawal is a dynamic entrepreneur and advocate for women’s empowerment, with a remarkable blend of creativity and corporate experience. She is the Creative Director of Dewtees Event Outfit, a leading cake and event styling brand. Adebola represents Nigeria at LINBIZ Global, a vibrant international network of women in business, where they are recognised and celebrated.

With over 10 years of experience as a Human Resources specialist in the banking and outsourcing industries, Adebola brings a wealth of strategic and people-centered insight to every endeavor. She also serves as a mentor on the Cherie Blair Foundation for Women, guiding women in business, particularly those in the event industry, on how to scale and thrive.

Her passion for empowering women led her to train over 100 women, free of charge, in the art of cake making, helping them gain practical skills and financial independence. Through her work, Adebola continues to inspire a generation of women to lead boldly and create meaningful impact in their communities
