Chief Segun Odusanya was born into the family of Venerable and Mrs. Emmanuel Odusanya (both of blessed memory) over fifty years ago. He attended St. Peter’s Anglican Primary School, Ile-Oluji from 1972 to 1978. Between 1978 and 1983, he attended, at various times, Holy Saviour’s High School, Ile-Oluji, Ondo Anglican Grammar School, Ondo, and Gboluji Anglican Grammar School, Ile-Oluji where he obtained his Secondary School Certificate in 1983.  

 He also attended the Federal School of Arts and Science, Ondo for his ‘A’ level between 1983 and 1984.  Chief Odusanya gained admission into Obafemi Awolowo University (then University of Ile-Ife) from where he obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture (B. Agric) in 1989. He returned to the same prestigious institution for his Post-Graduate Diploma in Management Studies (P.G.D.M.S) which he obtained in 1992.  In furtherance of his quest for more knowledge, he gained admission to the University of Ado-Ekiti in 1998 to pursue his master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) which he obtained in 2000.

He joined the Ondo State Public Service in September 1995 as Principal Personal Assistant in the State Primary Education Board (SPEB) and later crossed to the Administrative Officers Cadre in 1999. He served in various ministries, Departments, and agencies in different capacities until the year 2019 when he was appointed as a Permanent Secretary. He is at present, the Permanent Secretary, Civil Service Commission.  

 Chief Segun Odusanya has attended many Local and International courses, among which are: Managing People through Changes (Attitude and Bahaviour), under the auspices of the Royal Institute of Public Administration (RIPA) in London in June 2010; Leading Across Borders and Generation in Barcelona, Spain in 2014, and Train the Trainers Workshop in ASCON, Topo, Badagry, Lagos State in 2002.

 He attends St Luke’s Anglican Church, Idi-Agba Titun Akure, and belongs to the Church Guild of Stewards; the Parish Church Council, the YMCA as well as the Patron of the Church Choir and Boys Brigade.  He is also a member of Akure Diocesan Synod where he serves as Assistant Lay Secretary. He is a recipient of many awards including those from St. Luke’s Anglican Church, Akure; St. James (Ang.) Church, Itaogbolu, and National Association of Ondo State Students.  He also belongs to many professional bodies, including the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM), the Chartered Institute of Public Administration of Nigeria (CIPAN), and the International Business Association (IBA).

Chief Odusanya bagged the Chieftaincy titles of Alatunse Ijo of St Luke’s (Ang.) Church Akure, and Majekobaje of Irele/Ese-Odo Diocese of the Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion) respectively.  He served as the President of the Ondo State Senior Civil Service Club between 2007 and 2010. He is happily married to Mrs. Oluwatoyin Odusanya, and the union is blessed with God-fearing children.
