Oluseyi Soremekun holds a Ph.D. in Development Communication from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria Nigeria. He is a Communication expert with over 35 years of uninterrupted experience that cuts across Broadcasting, Marketing Communication, Corporate Communication, Development Communication, and Public Information.
He is the National Information Officer of the United Nations Information Centre (UNIC) in Nigeria, a field office of the Department of Global Communication (DGC), United Nations Secretariat New York.
Prior to his current position, he was the National Programme Officer for Communication and Information at UNESCO Nigeria; Head of Communication at the Nigerian Red Cross; General Manager, Simba Telecom Nigeria; Chief Operating Officer, Rockshield Communication; National Sales Manager, QuickConnect; Associate Director, Creative Copy at Macsell Associates (Advertising), among others.
Dr Soremekun also holds a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Mass Communication (Olabisi Onabanjo University); a Master of Communication Arts degree from the University of Ibadan; a Post-Graduate Diploma in Education (University of Calabar); and a Higher National Diploma in Mass Communication, Ogun State Polytechnic (now Moshood Abiola Polytechnic) Abeokuta.
Dr Soremekun is widely published in journals, academic textbooks, and professional magazines. He is widely travelled and happily married with three children.
