A US soldier has broken down emotionally while heading to her duty post, revealing that she is struggling to remain strong as her daughter battles an illness in Nigeria.
In an emotional video shared on social media, the soldier addressed US President Donald Trump, explaining that she was overwhelmed by the situation involving her daughter while still trying to fulfil her responsibilities as a servicewoman.
“Mr. President, this is me on my uniform today, on my way to serve this country. I’m totally overwhelmed by the situation. I was just driving on my way to my duty post right now and couldn’t hold it anymore because I’m overwhelmed by this whole situation about my daughter,” she said.

She explained that several thoughts were running through her mind as she drove, particularly the difficulty of continuing with her duties while her daughter was sick in Nigeria.
The soldier said she was trying to control her emotions and remain focused despite being unable to have her daughter with her in the United States.
“I’m trying to hold it, I’m trying to fight the feelings that I cannot have my child in this country. But because I was raised in good morals, I’ll pull it together. I’ll keep it strong for my daughter,” she added.
Her emotional appeal has drawn attention online, with many people sympathising with her and expressing concern over her daughter’s situation.
Despite her emotional struggle, the soldier said she intended to continue serving and maintain her good reputation, insisting that she would not allow the situation to ruin the progress she had made.
