A Nigerian-born Canadian immigrant, Ernest Omo-Ojo made history by winning the Herzing Co
Cup, an award for overall best student of the respected institution which specialises in high-de
skills.
According to the President of the Herzing College, Ottawa, Canada, Kevin Crupi, Omo-Ojo is th
winner to emerge from the Ottawa campus in the 30 years of the award.
Herzing College is over 55 years old with seven campuses in Canada and in the United States.
Herzing Cup is a competition for students across all campuses.
The Herzing Cup involves submissions from various campuses nominating their best students
to a panel of nearly 50 judges.
After a career in ExxonMobil in his birth country Nigeria, which ended with Omo-Ojo having to
voluntarily retirement, he decided to relocate with his family to Canada. He re-skilled at Herzi
authoring two books – The Potent Force of Sponsorship, and his latest, The Audacious Faith. T
are focused on self improvement based on his experiences while at Exxon.
