Renowned publisher and PDP chieftain Dele Momodu has made startling revelations about his waning commitment to Nigeria’s main opposition party, declaring that “only my body remains” in the PDP.

Speaking during an interview on BCOS, the Ovation magazine publisher expressed deep concerns about the internal divisions plaguing the party, which he believes could cost them the 2027 elections.

“My soul has left the PDP; it’s only my body that remains,” Momodu stated bluntly. “A united PDP could easily defeat the APC in 2027, but too many destructive forces are working against this possibility.”

The media mogul’s comments come amid a wave of high-profile defections from the PDP to the ruling APC, which he characterized as part of a deliberate strategy by the governing party to weaken opposition forces.

“The ruling party’s clear strategy is to systematically dismantle the opposition,” Momodu observed, highlighting what he sees as coordinated efforts to undermine the PDP’s electoral prospects.

Political analysts suggest Momodu’s dramatic statement may signal his impending departure from the party, potentially dealing another blow to the PDP’s already diminished fortunes ahead of the next general elections.
