Engr. Akindolani Olabanji Ogunmakinwa was born on 11th August 1970 to the dynasty of the Sokoti family in Ile-Oluji. His father was the immediate past Sokoti of Ile-Oluji Kingdom, the Late Chief Oluyemi Joshua Ogunmakinwa) who died on 26th January 2008, and his mother is Mrs. Julianah Olasunmi Ogunmakinwa (Nee Adepoju).
EDUCATION
Engr. Ogunmakinwa attended L. A Primary School, Ile-Oluji and Gboluji Grammar School, Ile-Oluji. He proceeded to the Federal School of Arts and Science, Ondo for his A’Level in 1988. He attended Ondo State Polytechnic, Owo for his National Diploma in Electrical and Engineering) in 1991 and Higher National Diploma (Electrical Power Engineering) in 1996 at Yaba College of Technology, Lagos State. He later proceeded to the Federal University of Technology Akure for his Postgraduate Diploma (Electrical Power Engineering) in the year 2002.

Engr. Ogunmakinwa is a member of:

He is a Fellow of the Institute of Leadership Manpower and Management Development (FILMMD)
Career
He joined the Ondo State Electricity Board in November 1998 as a Higher Technical Officer to oversee the maintenance of all the Streetlights within the Akure metropolis till 2000. He joined the Project Monitoring Unit of the Governor’s Office in 2000 and was there till May 2003. When the Former Governor of Ondo State, Dr. Olusegun Agagu came on Board, Engr Ogunmakinwa was one of the pioneer Staff of the Due Process Office code-named PPMU (Price and Project Monitoring Unit). He was the Acting Director of the Project Section of the unit between 2006 and 2009 when he returned to the Ondo State Electricity Board in July 2009.

Engineer Akindolani Ogunmakinwa is married and blessed with children. He is a farmer, a trait he inherited from his father.
