Her name is Adunni Adewale professionally known as Adunni Ade, an award-winning Nigerian actress, filmmaker and model.

Adunni Ade was born on June 7, 1976 in Queens, New York, U.S. to a German-American mother and a Yoruba father from Lagos State, Nigeria. She’ll be 48 this year. She was a year and a half old when her family returned to Nigeria to attend her grandfather’s burial. She was raised in Lagos by her father till she was in her late teens and moved back to the United States for her university education.

Adunni Ade attended the Chrisland primary school, Opebi, Lagos State, where she obtained her First School Leaving Certificate. Thereafter, she proceeded to Bells Comprehensive Secondary School, Ota, Ogun State where she obtained her West African Senior School Certificate.

After completing her secondary education, Adunni Ade moved back to the United States and went to University of Kentucky where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting in 2008 at age 32. While in the U.S, she worked in the housing and insurance sectors before switching to the entertainment industry.

Adunni Ade started her acting career professionally in 2013. She landed her first movie role in the Nigerian Yoruba film titled “You Or I”, directed by Saidi Balogun and starring Mosuru Ajimati, Saidi Balogun, Kevin Barry.

In 2016, she played Caroline in the Nigerian comedy drama film “It’s Her Day”, directed by Aniedi Anwah and starring Shaffy Bello, Ini Dima-Okojie, Bovi Ugbomma, Toni Tones, etc.

In 2018, Adunni Ade starred in the Nigerian family-friendly comedy movie “Boss Of All Bosses”, directed by Ike Nnaebue. The movie stars Patience Ozokwo, Bishop Ime, Eniola Badmus.

In 2020, she played Peppa in the upcoming Nigerian apocalyptic science fiction Dystopian-action film “Ratnik”, written, produced and directed by Dimeji Ajibola. The movie is yet to be released.

In 2021, she featured in the Nigerian action drama film “The Silent Baron”, directed by Ifeanyi Ukaeru and starring Ejike Asiegbu, Sani Muazu, Ngozi Nwosu, Nancy Isime, Enyinna Nwigwe, Anthony Monjaro, and Doris Ifeka.

In 2021, Adunni Ade produced her first movie titled “SOÓLÉ”, directed by Kayode Kasum and featuring A-list actors and actresses like Sola Sobowale, Femi Jacobs, Meg Otanwa, Shawn Faqua, Lateef Dimeji.

Adunni Ade is very beautiful, gifted, skillful, creative and talented in acting and interpretation of movie roles. She knows how to interpret her roles very well and can fit in any character given to her by movie directors and producers in Nigeria.

Adunni Ade has two sons with her ex-boyfriend, Michael Boyd whom she dated for 8 years. The actress has said she finds speaking Yoruba language draining, adding that it sometimes hurts her nerves.
