Dare-devil kidnappers have abducted occupants of a bus filled with members of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG).
The incident occurred on Friday evening in Kaduna State.
Further, the development was confirmed by the Head, Media and Public Relations of RCCG, Pastor Olaitan Olubiyi. However, Pastor Olubiyi did not disclose further details on the identities and number of the victims.
Nevertheless, sources say the RCCG members abducted by the kidnappers likely number about eight. Further, an RCCG source based in Kaduna revealed that the abducted persons were on a missionary assignment; adding that they include male and female missionaries heading to Kafanchan.
Meanwhile, the kidnappers are yet to get in touch with the authorities of RCCG; as well as family members of the abducted victims on their demands. Also, General Overseer of RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adeboye is yet to react to the development.
Equally important, an engineer, Mr Eje Kenny Faraday, revealed that he narrowly escaped the kidnapping incident. Faraday had made this known via his Facebook page where he broke the news of the kidnapping of the RCCG members.
Also, he had posted a picture of the empty bus conveying the RCCG members on his page. The bus had the inscription; The Redeemed Christian Church of God, Region 30, Trinity Sanctuary, Kaduna
“All passengers in the bus are just kidnapped along Kachia Road, Km 63 from Kaduna,” Faraday had written.
