BOOK COVER

Explaining the rationale for the Book, the authors said:

“A biography is not just an account of how the Biographee was born or raised. It also doesn’t stop at writing about the activities that signpost the life of the referenced subject. A biography goes behind the curtain to unveil the essence of the personality that is being documented”

“The justification for any biography, therefore, lies in the ability of the writer(s) to convince the reader that the biographee has lived or is living a life that is meaningful, impactful, and exemplary. This, in turn, is expected to become the standard reference on the subject and a manual for individuals who aspire to surpass his records”.

According to the authors, “Omo Baba Chairman tells the story of impact and value creation that Jegun Adetimehin’s life epitomises; It is not intended as a mere chronicle of his birth, education, and career, but as an effort to tell the reader WHO Kabiyesi is and WHAT he stands for. The book records for posterity how a man could surmount all odds to reach the zenith of his career and also leverage the traditional institution to transform a community through selfless and visionary leadership”.

Oba Olufaderin Adetimehin is the 31st Jegun of the Ile-Oluji Kingdom. He was installed on June 10, 2016, having emerged as the best candidate among those nominated by the Jimoko Ruling House. Oba Adetimehin, a critically acclaimed insurance icon, was a former President of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN). He was also the Chief Executive of AFN Insurance Brokers and Nigerian-French Insurance Company.
