The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released the results for the 2026 mop-up Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

Fabian Benjamin, JAMB spokesperson, announced the release of the results in a statement on Tuesday.

The 2026 UTME was held in about 966 computer-based test (CBT) centres nationwide between April 16 and 23.

However, some centres experienced technical challenges, making it impossible for a number of candidates to sit the examination.

In May, JAMB fixed June 13 for the conduct of the mop-up examination for candidates who missed this year’s examination.

In the statement, JAMB advised that candidates who participated in the examination to check their results on the board’s platform.

The board noted that the results will be available for printing before the end of the week.

“Candidates who participated in the examination can check their results through the Board’s established result-checking channels,” the statement reads.

“Following the successful conclusion of the mop-up exercise and the release of the results, the Board will commence the ranking of candidates.

“Thereafter, the printing of results for admission purposes is expected to begin before the weekend.

“JAMB appreciates the patience, understanding, and cooperation of all candidates and stakeholders throughout the conduct of the 2026 UTME and the subsequent mop-up exercise.”

Earlier, JAMB warned that there would be no further opportunity for candidates to sit the 2026 UTME after the mop-up exercise.
