Fatima Adamu Maikusa, a young mathematics prodigy from Gombe State, has brought pride to Nigeria after winning seven international medals in mathematics at a young age.

Fatima’s journey to global recognition began at the age of nine when she won a medal in the American Mathematics Competition (AMC 08).

Since then, she has continued to excel in several prestigious international mathematics contests, earning accolades for her outstanding performance.

Her achievements include medals in the American Mathematics Competition (AMC 08), the International Eduversal Mathematics Competition in Jakarta, Indonesia, the International Math Challenge in Bangkok, Thailand, the Kangourou Sans Frontières (KSF) Mathematics Competition, the Future Intelligence Students Olympiad (FISO), Mathematics Without Borders in Bulgaria, and the Komodo Math Festival in Indonesia.

At the time these achievements were first reported, Fatima was a Grade 11 student at the Nigerian Tulip International College (NTIC), Kano.

Her success has been widely celebrated as an inspiration to young Nigerians, highlighting the country’s growing pool of talented students making remarkable contributions in mathematics and other academic fields on the international stage.
