BRANDING IN MINISTRY

1.     JESUS AND HIS BRAND CONTENTS

  • Luke 4 v 17 – 19

v.17 “And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written”

  • Different corps
  • Education Corps
  • Music corps
  • Artillery corps
  • Medical corps (ENT specialist, Bone specialist, O & G specialist)
  • They are all called the Military but with different branding.

5.     SAME GOD, DIFFERENT MINISTRIES

  • 1 Cor. 12 v 4 – 6

v.4 “Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.”

v.5 “And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord.”

v.6 “And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all.”

  • We are under the same God with diversified Grace, giftings and callings.
  • Ephesians 4 v 11 – 13

v.11 “And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;”

v.12 “For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:”

v.13 “Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:”

6.     STEPS TO GET YOUR BRAND RIGHT IN MINISTRY

  • Psalm 32 v 8

“I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.”

  1. What did God give you as your Vision when you were called?  What’s the Scripture?
  • How is the Mission to achieve the Vision defined i.e
    • How to achieve it
    • Routes to achieve it
    • Paths to achieve it

   3. To develop the Brand, kindly ask yourself the underlisted questions:

What can I do:

  1. That will make it different from others
  2. That will make it PECULIAR
  3. That will make it UNIQUE
  4. That will give it a DIFFERENT COLORATION/FLAVOR
  5. That will give it a different SIGNATURE/LABEL
  6. That will give it a different VOICE/SOUND – (1 Cor. 14 v 8)
  7. That will give it a UNIQUE SELLING POINT
  8. That will give it a different ATTRACTION

     4. Go on Retreat (Prayer & Thinking) to get the Brand contents right.

  • Luke 5 v 16

“And he withdrew himself into the wilderness, and prayed.”

  • Matthew 12 v 15

“But when Jesus knew it, he withdrew himself from thence: and great multitudes followed him, and he healed them all;”

  • Mark 1 v 35

“And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed.”

  • Hear from God clearly the Brand contents
  • Write down the details to avoid Navigational errors/mistakes

5.     Research into relevant existing Ministries

  • Prayerfully seek out similar ministries
  • Research into them prayerfully
  • Get their materials, study them exhaustively
  • Apply your discoveries to your own peculiar Ministry as certified by the Holy Spirit.

6.     Nurture Your Brand

“I the LORD do keep it; I will water it every moment: lest any hurt it, I will keep it night and day.”

Nurturing your Brand requires the following:

8.     Don’t Be Discouraged

  • Habakuk 2 v 2 & 3

v. 2: “Then the Lord answered me and said: “Write the vision And make it plain on tablets, That he may run who reads it.”

v.3 “For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry.”

  • Don’t be discouraged, your Manifestation is for an Appointed Time and Season. 
  • Stay within your calling and maintain a rigid focus on your specific assignment.
  • Stay glued and stick to what you have been given from heaven to affect your world.
  • Maintain a strong focus on your well-defined Mission
  • Give all you have to your assignment per time to fulfill your divine mandate.
  • God will not move you to the next phase until you are faithful in this phase.
