Co-founder of Agape Christian Ministries Funke Felix-Adejumo is set to graduate with a law degree at 63, with her graduation and convocation ceremony scheduled for November 13, 2026.

Adejumo announced the date on her Instagram page on Monday, sharing a poster inviting guests to the ceremony at Elizade University, Ilara Mokin, Ondo State, at 11am.

The announcement comes three months after Adejumo’s management debunked reports that she had graduated from law school.

In July, her management clarified that she had neither graduated from the Nigerian Law School nor completed her undergraduate law programme at the time. It explained that a photograph circulating online had been taken during her matriculation and was not from a graduation ceremony.

Adejumo enrolled to study Law at Elizade University in 2022 at the age of 59, returning to the classroom decades after obtaining a degree in English Language from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.

Her decision to study Law attracted attention because of her age and her long career as a preacher, author and speaker. She has also spoken about her desire to support women experiencing abuse in marriage.

The November ceremony marks a major milestone in her pursuit of a law degree. However, graduating with an LL.B does not automatically qualify her to practise law in Nigeria, as she would still need to complete the required professional training at the Nigerian Law School and meet the conditions for being called to the Nigerian Bar.
