Alhaji Wasiu Salawudeen Gbolagade Ayinde Popularly known as ‘Wasiu Agara’ on Monday 8 March 2021 collapsed and died shortly after he performed at Koko Hotel in Ogbomoso. He was aged 54.

Cause of his sudden death was not immediately known as he did not display any symptom, a family source told newspot reporter.

The newspot learnt that he performed on Monday evening 8 March 2021 at Koko spot in Ogbomoso.

Shortly before his demise he was at his wife’s shop in Ojaagbo area of Ogbomoso where he normally observe Zuhr and after the prayer, he told his wife that he wan to go and rest at home because he was weak, his health condition deteriorated he called his wife who auggested that they took him to Bowen University Teaching Hospital

He gave up the ghost on the way to the hospital was later confirmed dead by a doctor at the hospital.

An Islamic Scholar and a close friend, Sheik Quassim Olaosebikan in his tribute said Inna lilahi wainna ilahei Rojihunna Alhaji Wasiu Salahudeen Gbolagade Agara (54) bade this sinful word good bye It’s not how long but how well, You observed your divine rights towards your creator dilligently
