On the 10th of October 2026, history is to be made, and with it, the blueprint to what’s possible.
David Wej Signature, the luxury extension of David Wej is set to unveil, an introduction to actual luxury in the African menswear hemisphere. The birth-child of relationships shaped by time, geography and alignment in intention, every suit began long before the first cut, as is anything worth wearing.
“Networking with other brands opened us up to what’s possible”.

A mill in Biella, a house in Piedmont, a cloth maker with roots in Scotland, a curator of distinctive weaves. Each partnership was built patiently, and together they now meet in the hands of David Wej’s tailors. The result? A new benchmark in modern tailoring in the Nigerian climate. suits conceived to be lived in, not simply admired.
On the 10th of October, at the David Wej store, the pre-launch opens the story. Four collaborations —Loro Piana, Drago, Brown Aaron and Kerry Knoll— and one conviction running through them: the finest fabrics deserve exceptional craftsmanship.(Sponsored by Chivas Regal).
A completely bespoke experience, the client chooses everything, from the lining to the buttons. Nothing is left to default; beneath every David Wej Signature jacket lies something the eye never sees: a canvas, stitched into the garment rather than fused to it. It is where a suit’s character is decided.
Half canvas carries the canvas through the chest and lapel, giving natural shape, improved drape and refined structure, with a lighter feel.
Full canvas is the highest level of traditional jacket construction. The canvas is hand stitched throughout the front, so the jacket drapes naturally, holds its shape and, bover time, learns the body of the man who wears it.
Both begin the same way: careful cutting and shaping, the canvas positioned and secured, then pressing and finishing by hand. Both ask for patience, precision and the experienced hands of a skilled tailor, one David Wej, understands.
Loro Piana X David Wej Signature: The Art of Exceptional Tailoring
The story starts in Quarona, in Piedmont, where Loro Piana was founded as a modern textile company in 1924, on a family heritage in the wool and textile trade that reaches back to the early 19th century. Across the century since, the house has built its name on one discipline: the careful selection and processing of the world’s finest natural fibres, among them superfine wool, cashmere and silk.
From its Fantasia, Serenade, Chronicle IV and The Reason III collections, David Wej Signature has chosen exceptional 150s to 200s superfine wools, with cashmere and silk blends. They were chosen for what the hand feels first: extraordinary softness, refined handle, beautiful drape and distinctive character.
Each piece is Made in Italy, where generations of tailoring expertise still shape exceptional garments. This is a suit whose quality is found not by looking at it, but by wearing it, experiencing it.
Drago David Wej Signature: Italian Textile Innovation Meets Handmade Tailoring
In Biella, one of Italy’s distinguished woollen mills looks forward as well as back.
Drago pairs advanced textile technology with the traditions of Italian woolmaking, and is recognised for refined superfine wool qualities, distinctive colour, softness and performance.
Its cloth begins as carefully selected wool fibre, then is engineered through sophisticated spinning, weaving and finishing. Depending on the quality chosen, the result balances softness, resilience, natural stretch, breathability, recovery and drape: a fabric for the modern gentleman who expects his suit to perform as beautifully as it looks, from refined business tailoring to contemporary occasion wear.
Here, Italian textile innovation meets the art of true tailoring, and cloth and tailor work as one.
Brown Aaron X David Wej Signature: British Heritage. Distinguished Cloth. Modern Tailoring.
Cross to Scotland, and a heritage that Brown Aaron traces to 1864. Its identity has always rested on quality materials and distinctive cloth, drawn from renowned textile regions: Australian Merino wool, French linen, Chinese silk and cashmere. British tailoring has long been admired for cloth with substance, structure and character, and Brown Aaron’s wools and blends carry that tradition, from classic wools to distinctive wool and silk constructions: comfort, durability, texture, natural drape and a strong tailoring presence.
The idea behind the collaboration is simple. Great cloth should have character. Great tailoring should bring that character to life. This is where British cloth meets David Wej craftsmanship.
Kerry Knoll X David Wej Signature: Where Distinctive Cloth Meets Personal Tailoring
If other mills tell stories of heritage, Kerry Knoll tells one of individuality. Its carefully curated cloths (fine wools, textured weaves, linen, refined patterns and contemporary colourations) give tailoring depth and a visual identity of its own ideal for the 1of1.
Every fabric has a personality: rich texture, subtle pattern, beautiful colour and natural movement, with the breathability, softness, resilience and drape of fine wool. Chosen well, the cloth does more than make a suit. It becomes a personal expression of style.
This is for the gentleman who sees tailoring as more than formal dressing: colour, texture and character, brought to life by skilled hands.
Chivas Regal X David Wej
An event such as this only pairs well with the finest scotch whiskey, but more intrinsically, it is a doff of the hat from one pioneer to another. Chivas Regal’s history began with pioneering whisky blending, whose path to success is lined with tenacity and present-day, are recognised industry innovators. This sponsorship is what history would consider a “real recognising real” moment.
