Footage showing the moment an estranged wife and her husband’s mistress got into a fight in the Isheri DPO’s office has been made public.

Katherine Daramola, 57, a US based lawyer, had accused her estranged husband Adetokunbo Daramola of abandoning her and their 4 children in the United States and returning to Nigeria where he got his mistress to start living with him in her house.

Katherine accused her husband, a businessman who executes contracts for the Lagos Inland Revenue Service (LIRS), of plans to illegally acquire their jointly-owned property in Lagos.

The property in question is a twin duplex at Magodo, in Lagos.

Mrs Daramola said the Certificate of Occupancy (C of O) has her name (on it) and she contributed 75 per cent of the money spent on building the house and furnished most parts of their home.

She said while she was buying the furniture and other home items in the U.S. and sending to her husband to furnish the house with, she had no idea he had moved in with another woman while giving the impression everything belongs to him.

Mrs Daramola said the “illicit and adulterous” relationship broke their marriage of 25 years and she asked him to give up her share of the twin duplexes.

However, problem started when he and the mistress, named Abisoye, refused to give up the house or leave her part of the duplex.

She said her estranged husband sometimes locks her out and she has to break into her own house where her husband lives with his mistress.

Last month, Mrs Daramola arrived Nigeria with her children to find the mistress’ things still in the house, so she and her children removed the woman’s belongings and piled them up at the gate.

When Mr Daramola and the mistress were notified by third parties, they called the police and the Isheri DPO invited the warring parties.

However, at the DPO’s office, both women engaged in a war of words as the mistress, Abisoye, insisted the estranged wife, Mrs Daramola, cannot remove her from the house. The husband also said his estranged wife has no right moving his things from the house.
