Former Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor, Godwin Emefiele was on Monday remanded in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) which earlier in the day arraigned him for alleged crimes.
Judge Rahman Oshodi of the Ikeja Special Offences Court ruled that Emefiele will remain in EFCC custody until April 11 when the court will decide on the bail application filed by his counsel.
Emefiele pleaded not guilty to the 26-count charge filed against him by the EFCC.
