The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has placed 41-year-old Halimat Adenike Tejuosho on its wanted list for allegedly obtaining money by false pretence, urging Nigerians to turn her in.

In a notice signed Monday by EFCC spokesman Dele Oyewale, the anti-graft agency published Tejuosho’s photo and described her as a Lagos indigene whose last known address is House A26, Aso Grove Estate, Maitama Extension, Abuja.

“The public is hereby notified that Halimat Adenike Tejuosho, whose photograph appears above, is wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission in an alleged case of obtaining money by false pretence,” the EFCC said.

The Commission is asking anyone with tips on her whereabouts to contact its offices in Ibadan, Uyo, Sokoto, Maiduguri, Benin, Makurdi, Kaduna, Ilorin, Enugu, Kano, Lagos, Gombe, Port Harcourt or Abuja. The public can also reach out through the EFCC’s official channels or report to the nearest police station and other security agencies.

No details were released on the amount involved or victims in the case. For now, Tejuosho’s face is on the EFCC’s board — and the hunt is on.
