Demola Akinbola Unveils New Book on Value Creation on May 14

A new book titled Value Creation: Your Pathway to Enduring Career and Business Success, written by Demola Akinbola, Publisher of The Podium International Magazine and Founder of Brand Stewards Limited, will be formally presented to a select audience in Lagos on May 14, 2024 at the Akin Dania Event Centre, Omole Phase One, Ikeja, Lagos, starting at 10 am.

A statement released in Lagos on Thursday by Brand Stewards Limited, Publishers of the book, disclosed that the book, the sixth by the author, is focused on precipitating a national value re-orientation revolution in the private and public sectors of the Nigerian economy. Demola is a renowned author, journalist, brand management, and communication specialist with considerable experience in the private and public sectors in Nigeria, Ireland, and the United Kingdom.

“In this book, the author identifies the lack of appreciation of the need for value creation and addition in Nigeria, while enumerating strategic steps that should be taken by career individuals, entrepreneurs, corporate bodies, and public sector organisations to become valuable to their stakeholders”, the statement added.

Value Creation: Your Pathway to Enduring Career and Business Success is a book specially written as a handbook for individuals who aspire to become persons of influence and impact in their careers and enterprises.

It is also for organisations desiring to build strong corporate brands that can stand the current intense competition in the market and global economic challenges. Branding is about value creation, and the book presents a detailed strategic roadmap on how organisations can deliver value to their customers and other stakeholders. 

With three decades of active experience in the areas of Journalism, branding, corporate communication, corporate reputation management, business development, organisational change management, and digital marketing, Akinbola had a successful media practice at The Guardian, Punch, and ThisDay during which he worked with others to revolutionize business reporting in Nigeria.

In 1996, he started his communication and brand management career at the then Owena Bank as a Media Relations Manager, rising to become Head of Corporate Affairs. The brand management career journey later took him to Prudent Bank (now Polaris Bank), where he was Pioneer Corporate Affairs Manager, and later British Council, where he was Head of Communications & Marketing, and finally to the Nigerian Aviation Handling Company (NAHCO), where he was the Head of Corporate Planning & Strategy.

Ademola obtained a M.Sc. Degree in Digital Marketing & Web Analytics from the Dublin Institute of Technology in 2016, and a Master of Communication Arts degree from the University of Ibadan earlier in 1997. He also has an HND in Mass Communication from Ogun State Polytechnic, Abeokuta.

Morak Babajide-Alabi is a graduate of Mass Communication with a Master of Arts Degree in Journalism from Napier University, Edinburgh, United Kingdom. He is an experienced Social Media practitioner with a strong passion for connecting with customers of brands.

Morak is a dependable team player who succeeds in a high-pressure environment. He started his professional career with the flagship of Nigerian journalism – The Guardian Newspapers in 1992 where he honed his writing and editing skills before joining TELL Magazine. Brief Profile of Ademola Akinbola

Ademola AKINBOLA is an author, publisher, trainer, digital marketing strategist, and a brand development specialist with nearly three decades of experience in the areas of branding, communication, corporate reputation management, business development, organizational change management, and digital marketing.

He is the Founder and Head Steward at BrandStewards Limited, a brand and reputation management consultancy. He is also the Publisher of The Podium International Magazine, Ile-Oluji Times, and Who’s Who in Ile-Oluji.

He had a successful media practice at The Guardian, Punch and This Day.

He started his brand management career at Owena Bank as Media Relations Manager before joining Prudent Bank (now Polaris Bank) as the pioneer Head of Corporate Affairs.

The British Council appointed him as Head of Communication and Marketing to co-ordinate branding and reputation management activities at its Lagos, Abuja, Kano and Port Harcourt offices.
