Oloye Lekan Alabi, Veteran Journalist Is Dead

A veteran journalist, renowned public relations practitioner and former Chief Press Secretary to several Oyo State governors, Oloye Lekan Alabi, aka (Obalola), has passed on at the age of 76

Alabi, who held the traditional title of Abese of Ibadanland, reportedly died on Saturday morning in Lagos, according to a statement issued by the Olubadan Palace.

The brief statement, signed by Adeola Oloko, the Media aide to the Olubadan of Ibadanland, announced the passing of the respected media icon and confirmed that he would be buried on Sunday in accordance with Islamic rites.
