Blessing CEO Back in Court as EFCC Re-Arraigns Her Over Alleged N69.15m Fraud

Popular social media influencer and self-styled relationship therapist, Blessing Okoro Nkiruka, widely known as Blessing CEO, has been re-arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over an alleged N69.15 million fraud.
The EFCC’s Lagos Zonal Directorate 1 on Tuesday brought the defendant before Justice R.A. Oshodi of the Special Offences Court sitting in Ikeja, Lagos, on a two-count charge bordering on obtaining money under false pretence and alleged theft of N69,150,000.
At the commencement of proceedings, EFCC counsel C.C. Okezie urged the court to proceed with the arraignment, informing the judge that the defendant had been duly served with the charge.
However, defence counsel, Nkama Nneka, told the court that the charge was only recently served on her client.
In his ruling, Justice Oshodi held that the arraignment should proceed in accordance with the law. The charges were subsequently read to the defendant in open court.
The re-arraignment marks the latest twist in the legal challenges facing Blessing CEO, who is accused of fraudulently obtaining and diverting millions of naira. The case was adjourned for further proceedings.
