Odegaard’s progress
Much was made of Martin Odegaard’s quiet campaign in Arsenal’s title-winning season, but he has proven to be back so far this team.
He’s scored twice in the league, having netted against Coventry too, and that’s double what he managed in all of last season!

Around the grounds
While we wait for some reaction from today, here’s a summary of all the scores in the Premier League this weekend:
- Ipswich 0-2 Liverpool
- Newcastle 2-2 Bournemouth
- Brentford 1-1 Sunderland
- Brighton 1-1 Leeds
- Fulham 2-3 Crystal Palace
- Man City 1-0 Coventry
- Nottingham Forest 0-0 Tottenham
- Hull 0-0 Aston Villa
- Everton 2-2 Manchester United
- Arsenal 2-1 Chelsea
And, just like that, the gameweek is over.
Here’s how the current table looks, once again courtesy of our friends at Google.
Just two teams have a 100 per cent record; Arsenal and City.
Chelsea and, er, Hull, aren’t far behind.

Arsenal take the spoils
Huge celebrations in the Arsenal dugout, and they know how big a win that is already so early on in the season.
The champions come from behind to win, and they had to work for that. A fantastic game, with worthy winners, I feel.
Plenty of reaction to come. But Arsenal go three from three. Chelsea lose for the first time this season.

FULL-TIME: Arsenal 2-1 Chelsea
Chelsea need to throw everything at this now, and they are.
Tzolis has the chance to play in Madueke but gets it wrong. Still, Arsenal keep the ball right where they want it.
Oh dear. Pedro’s cross is headed well wide by Chavarria.
Merino is booked and James can send a final free-kick into the box.
He does… away by Konsa…
And that’s it!

Arsenal 2-1 Chelsea
It’s all Chelsea now, with more changes on the way for Arsenal. I think it’s Madueke who is getting ready.
CLOSE! A great save from Raya!
Estevao does really well on the right and cuts inside Hincapie. It’s going into the top corner, but Raya gets a big hand to it to deny him! Big stop!
Maybe it wasn’t quite in the corner…
He punches out the corner too.
On comes Madueke with Saka making way.
Four minutes added on.

Arsenal 2-1 Chelsea
Arsenal break and Gyokeres leads the charge but his touch is poor and Lacroix mops up.
Chelsea are running out of time here and not creating too much.
Pedro wins a free-kick on the edge of the box, fouled by Zubimendi.
Another change for Chelsea in the meantime, with Welbeck on for Rogers to face his old club – and he has a note for Reece James.
James and Palmer line up the free kick, about 40 yards out. James shoots, right into the wall, and Rice is down.

YELLOW! Arsenal 2-1 Chelsea
Oh, hello. Two England team-mates going at it! Morgan Rogers and Declan Rice!
Rice has been naughty there. With Palmer running with the ball on the left, Rogers is making an edge of box run and Rice trips him up. The referee hasn’t seen it, somehow, and a goal kick is given.
Poor officiating. Rogers is booked for his reaction.
