Nigerians in diaspora through the Chairperson and Convener of a support group, Asiwaju 4 Renewed Hope ’23 (ARH), Kemi Olokode-Ayelabola, has on Tuesday (June 20, 2023) commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for rejiging the country’s security architecture, describing it as “a patriotic decision well thought out”
Kemi who championed the course of ARH ’23 during the electioneering campaign for the APC Presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu (now President) stressed that many Nigerians in diaspora are now showing willingness to come back to the country having seen Mr. President’s commitment to nip insecurity in the bud.
The ARH Chairperson in a press statement she released on Tuesday said:
“I feel so elated as a Nigerian in diaspora seeing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu working his talk on protection of lives and properties particularly in rejigging the country’s security architecture and icing the process by bringing on board experienced and cerebral men of proven competence, integrity and patriotism to the country’s challenging situation. It is a patriotic decision well thought out.
“Mr. President’s bold step on Monday, June 19, 2023 is a prove that the leadership of the country is now in safe hands. Added to my joy is that President’s latest intervention is part of the contents of my 5-point letter to him immediately he assumed office. Interestingly, many Nigerians in diaspora are now expressing willingness to come back home and settle down, others are also of the intention to invest having seen a sign of an enabling environment that can guarantee their safety and investment.
“More impressively is the appointment of a multifaceted former Police officer as the new National Security Adviser (NSA). Nuhu Ribadu, an anti corruption crusader and pioneer Chairman of EFCC, a man who has good understanding of civil sociology and political engineering with the enablement to proffer an integrated national security master strategy that we need at a time like this.
“In the midst of all these, our assessment in diaspora shows that President Bola Tinubu has personally demonstrated genuine commitment to ending the menace of insecurity, we hold tally with him on his stand and declare total support for his fight against insecurity.
“We therefore appeal to him to further allocate justifiable funds for improved intelligence gathering and offer immense logistical support to security operations across the country and as well give marching order to root out criminals from all precincts of the country.” The statement concluded.
