APOSTLE SULEMAN RESPONDS TO COMMENTS ON HIS THREE PRIVATE JETS, BUT MISSES THE POINT
1• I think the Apostle misses the point. According to the video speech below, the impression given is that you should be commended for your acts of philanthropy. No.
For a believer you don’t need to announce your philanthropic acts or expect any back-patting. Jesus says we should not announce such “good works” and our Father in heaven will reward us in private for them.

2• The impression you give is that because you built a school, a road etc., now entitles you to the jets? Again it’s warped logic. Many many people who are not even Christians do so much more in charities and they don’t have jets. I am not sure you have spent as much as Bill Gates in philanthropy, and on record he has one Bombardier jet. Getting a jet or three in your case should not be presented as a reward for the philanthropic acts.
3• People are not upset that you have jets. People are uncomfortable with the way you boast about it all the time. Aliko probably has more than one jet as well, but will you hear him talking about them? It’s the boasting that accompanies your utterances that irks people. You should show some humility.
4• So you didn’t buy the jets from tithes and offerings? Congrats. But many would have been happy to know the source of acquisition. You know why? You are a public figure and in a place like the UK, and other places where accountability is key, you would be expected to announce the source of the money for the jets and how you maintain them. Why? You run what is classified as a public charity.
5• Overall Apostle, you need to be humble. Your speeches and conversations are too filled with self importance and pride. Humility is a Christian virtue.
I was a pastor in the Bethel church in the 80s and the late Apostle Oduyemi had a jet. I understand Pastor Bakare had one. Oyakhilome has. TB Joshua has. Oyedepo and baba Adeboye have. But you never hear them bragging about these toys. And have you noticed that no one berates them for having jets? People are not upset because you have jets. People are tired of your noise-making about them as if it’s the end of the world.
And truly, whether you have three or 500 jets makes no difference. The Bible makes us understand that there is nothing new under the sun.
And you don’t need to be so controversial sir. The other day you assured us you told an obviously illegal immigrant to enter a lavatory at a German airport and he came out in France and also illegally returned to Germany the same way. Apart from testifying about a criminal act, sir, the tale was too fantastic to believe.
So, Apostle, go easy on the bragging and the noise making. Give us a break.
Thank you sir.
