APC Dismisses Rumours of Ticket Shake-up, Confirms Shettima as Tinubu’s Running Mate for 2027

The All Progressives Congress [APC] has put months of speculation to rest after formally confirming Vice President Kashim Shettima as President Bola Tinubu’s running mate for the 2027 presidential election.

The confirmation came on Friday at a meeting of the party’s *National Working Committee [NWC] and top leaders at the Continental Hotel, Abuja, where Ibrahim Masari, Special Adviser to the President on Political Affairs, presented nomination forms for both Tinubu and Shettima.

The move signals the party’s decision to stick with continuity and retain the current Muslim-Muslim ticket, dismissing reports that the President was considering a northern Christian as deputy.
