Anambra Hails Oluremi Tinubu’s Planned Visit

The Anambra State Government has welcomed Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, on her visit to the state on Thursday, saying the visit affirmed that no state or zone is left behind in the ‘Renewed Hope Agenda’ of the current administration of President Bola Tinubu.

According to a statement issued on Tuesday, the Anambra State Commissioner for Information, Law Mefor, disclosed that the visit is primarily for the launch of the National Community Food Bank Programme, South-East Zone.

He pointed out that other key activities during the visit include the commissioning of the ICT Centre at the Federal Polytechnic, Oko.

He described it as a state-of-the-art facility aimed at bridging the digital divide and equipping Anambra and South-East students with skills in software development, data analysis, digital marketing and remote work.

The commissioner added that the visit underscored the Federal Government’s commitment to inclusive development and the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu.

The statement read, “The Government and good people of Anambra State warmly welcome Her Excellency, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, on her official visit to Anambra State on Thursday.

“The visit is essentially for the launch of the National Community Food Bank Programme – South East Zone, which underscores the Federal Government’s commitment to inclusive development and the Renewed Hope Agenda of His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.

“Key activities during the visit include the commissioning of the ICT Centre – Federal Polytechnic, Oko, a state-of-the-art facility to bridge the digital divide and equip Anambra and South-East students with skills in software development, data analysis, digital marketing, and remote work.

“Launch of the National Community Food Bank Programme – South East Zone – Old Government House, Amawbia and Ekwueme Sqaure.

“A structured intervention to support widows, the elderly, persons with disabilities, and vulnerable nursing mothers and children with food items and nutrition education.

“Anambra State, the ‘Light of the Nation’, appreciates this demonstration of federal partnership. The visit affirms that no state or zone is left behind in the Renewed Hope Agenda. Ndi Anambra warmly welcome you, Mother of the Nation.”
