The annual dinner lecture of Day Waterman College, Abeokuta, Ogun State, will hold on Friday, June 14 at the school premises with Oloye Ademola Akinbola, Publisher of The Podium International Magazine scheduled as the guest speaker.
About 200 students of the College will be in attendance at the event which is aimed at equipping the students with the knowledge and skills required for post school integration into the society.
The theme of this year’s event is “Dining Etiquette and Conduct Management,” a topic which is expected to also include nuggets on Personal Branding, Grooming, Value Creation, and Inter-personal relationships.

According to Mr Ahmed Kamal, Day Waterman College’s Principal, in a letter of invitation to Oloye Akinbola, the event signposts the College’s commitment to supporting the students in building strong personal brands and becoming persons of influence and impact.

Oloye Ademola Akinbola, who is also the Founder of Brand Stewards Limited, a strategic brand and reputation management consultancy operating in Nigeria and the United Kingdom, is an author, publisher, certified trainer, and brand management specialist with three decades of active professional engagement.
He recently unveiled his sixth book titled “Value Creation: Your Pathway to Enduring Business and Career Success”. He is critically acclaimed as one of Nigeria’s impactful speakers and educators on personal and corporate branding. He is also a renowned facilitator on organisational change management and corporate repositioning.
He worked variously as a Business Reporter at The Guardian, ThisDay, and Punch newspapers from 1991 to 1996 before commencing his brand management career in 1996 at Owena Bank as Media Relations Manager. He subsequently worked as the Pioneer Head of Corporate Affairs at Prudent Bank (now Polaris Bank); Head of Communications & Marketing at British Council and Head of Corporate Planning & Strategy at the Nigerian Aviation Handling Company (NAHCO) before he voluntarily retired in 2012.
