Adeleke, Accord Party Stakeholders Endorse Tinubu for 2027

Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, and the national leadership of the Accord Party have endorsed President Bola Tinubu as the party’s presidential candidate for the 2027 general election.

The decision was reached during a meeting held on Saturday night in Osogbo, the Osun State capital, involving the governor and the party’s national executives.

The development was disclosed in a statement issued by Adeleke’s re election campaign spokesman, Pelumi Olajengbesi.

According to the statement, discussions at the meeting focused on issues affecting the party as well as preparations for the forthcoming political activities.

The party’s leadership also expressed support for the continuation of the Tinubu administration’s ongoing infrastructure projects, including the Lagos Calabar Coastal Highway and the Sokoto Badagry Highway, stressing the need for the projects to be completed.

The meeting also reviewed preparations for the August governorship election in Osun State, with party leaders cautioning against electoral violence, intimidation, manipulation of the electoral process and the alleged misuse of security agencies during the poll.

Those present at the meeting included the National Chairman of the Accord Party, Maxwell Mgbudem; Deputy National Chairman, Maryam Sale; National Secretary, Ajaja Abiola Adebukola; National Treasurer, Abdulazeez Oyeniyi Salaudeen; National Organising Secretary, Ibe Thankgod; and the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Omorogbe Joseph.

State chairmen of the party from across the country also attended the meeting.
